Pretty good day today. Uneventful, which I prefer over the excitement of Saturday morning. lol

Two people were taken out of the dorm, only one returned. The first (John) was led away in cuffs because someone “floated a kite” on him. He came back after they found he didn’t do anything wrong… I presume.

The second was out of his cell during count and apparently back-talked to Sgt. Morse (Arrrrr!). He didn’t come back. Oh well.

Money was not in the account this afternoon. Dad forgot to transfer the funds. Doh! Hopefully it shows up tomorrow.

Swamp is being very loud playing chess with DC. Ugh. He’s playing music blaring on his radio, then shouting over his headphones. Only he could play chess with that shit in his ears. =/

Ok. Maybe I’m a bit cranky. ;) lol

Had a good visit with the parents today. Sgt. Campbell snitched on me before I even got there. lol. They were concerned, of course, that I had been handcuffed. But glad that I got out of it with just being chewed out. :)

Parents placed me on a budget. $200 a month, or $100 on the 1st and 15th. I agreed, of course. It’s pretty much what I’ve been spending anyway.

Hmmmm… that’s about it for the moment. It’s prison after all. Not much is designed to change from moment to moment. ;)

P.S. – Up to chapter 13 of “The Fountainhead“.

Temp has gone down faster than a freshman at her first party. ;) Brrrrr. Luckily, hot chocolate to the rescue. Super-yummy.

Spoke to parents. Mom hasn’t ordered journals or LDS 12-step stuff yet. Slightly disappointed, but won’t let it bug me.

Speaking of which… realized the other day that I’ll never see “buggy” again. Made me sad.

Jennifer wasn’t perfect, but she deserved better than what I offered her. I killed that marriage by inches.

I still love her, but I’m not in love with her, if that makes any sense. She shared 15 years of my life with me. No matter what else, I’ll thank her for those good times. I think the best way to honor those years is to not allow the mistakes I made during them to reappear.

All experiences can be learned from, if one is willing to put aside their pride.

Mom & Dad are getting a Navy-ish Prius. Go Mom! Hehehehehe. Dad was originally opposed to it, but realized he would be hearing about it for (at least) the next 10 years if he didn’t acquiesce to Mom’s request. So, he let the Wookie win. ;) As the knight in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade said, “You have chosen…. wisely.”

In other news, SAA won’t let 3rd parties order materials for inmates. So I had to write a letter to the ISO, which I cranked out in about 2 hours, including an hour spent watching Jeopardy and The Big Bang Theory. :)

So I feel productive today.

Pic says I don’t belong here. Of course I agree. ;)

Also, struck deal with Pic for him to make beds and clean room for 1 bag of coffee a month. I view it as a good deal. :)

So, I’ve gone from having a valet (Bless) to having a maid (Pic).

Sheesh. Don’t I sound like a spoiled inmate? ;)

Visited w/ Mom & Dad today. V. good. :) Had lots of chicken (but not fried, hehehehe) in honor of MLK day.

Today was also the public inauguration of Obama’s 2nd term. Ugh. Made it a point to have as little exposure to that farce as possible.

Call me a stick in the mud, (where did that term come from anyway?) but I don’t think holding a multi-million dollar party is the way to proceed when the country is in the state it is. Especially when it’s the taxpayers (who are already getting soaked) who are being forced to pick up the tab. =/

Looking forward to my MP3 player. They took the money out for it last week, so hopefully I should get it this week. Hopefully.

Looking forward to 12-step books. Really looking forward to freedom, and all it entails. :)

Ok. Time to pack up the journal. More tomorrow.

Same Bat-time. Same Bat-channel. ;)

Sent off my Power of Attorney to Mom & Dad today. It’s one less thing to worry about. Also sent my brown-nosing card to them. :)

Savings for MP3 player are progressing, but I’m wondering if it’s feasible to order it next week, or if I have to wait another “cycle”. =/

Happy today. Not sure why. Perhaps talking to the new guy (Richard) is giving me a sense of helping someone like Swamp helped me. I like that idea.

Saw Mrs. Reed today for the teacher’s aide position. I’ll have to put in some paperwork to be transferred.. or at least be eligible to be transferred.

Anyway, enough for now. I’ll write more tomorrow.. hopefully. ;)

Re: The above book – It was frickin’ awesome! Read 422 pages in 36 hours, including sleep, eating, and TV. So actual reading time would be 25 hours approx. That pretty much says it all. :)

Tired of prison. =/ There’s the constant smell of “taint”, dirt & grit everywhere, being ordered around, and meals that leave much to be desired. All these I can deal with. But smelling people light up their poor excuses for cigarettes every frickin’ night, back to back it seems, is really getting on my nerves. =(

Mom & Dad came to visit me today. We had a good visit & I ate well. I’m very lucky to have them. A lot of families are unable or unwilling to stand by their inmates while they are incarcerated. They (Mom & Dad) are a blessing. I never appreciated them on the outside. I think this experience will change all that forever.

Ugh! Someone just lit up. Grrrr.

Anyway, enough for now. This Depakote screws up my find motor skills. It sucks wanting to write more, but being unable to. =/
